LACE TIPS: The Mini Bag

Statement accessories can be a staple that make or break the versatility of a wardrobe. Recently, I was sitting on a stoop in SoHo because the person I was meeting there was running late (if you don’t know, the subway in NYC is horrible on weekends). Looking around, I noticed every other person had a mini bag. In a city where commuting is a major lifestyle and schlepping your belongings in a canvas tote is a universal solution, this trend is major. A lot of people have been trying to follow the trend of minimizing their belongings and it seems the new solution is forcing it upon themselves with limited storage.

A lot of the versions I have seen are structured, colorful, and embellished. Many also have the crossbody option. Whether for a night out where all you need is lip gloss and twenty dollars or for your next street style-esque shot, here are some cool options:

If you want texture to boost your neutrals, this bag has inverted pleats people! That’s amazing!

The mini bag is also coming in the form of backpacks for a less formal look. This one by French Connection is currently on sale.
